A Quartet of New Year Senior Appointments for Vine Hotels

Vine Hotels, which owns and manages thirteen properties right across the UK, has added four senior members to its management teams this month, as the hospitality company continues with ambitious development and growth plans in 2023.  

Ruslana Yarmolyuk will take over as general manager for Mercure Kenwood Hall Hotel and Spa, bringing with her over a decade in hotel management and successful terms as a general manager for properties within the Mercure hotels portfolio, then as dual site manager for Mercure Sheffield Parkway and Mercure York Fairfield Manor. A senior hospitality professional and hands-on and motivational leader, Ruslana will be tasked with overseeing the operations of this flagship Vine Hotels property. 

Seb Rizk joins DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield Park as operations manager. Seb has experience within the Hilton group having held positions at Doubletree by Hilton Hull and Hampton by Hilton Sheffield City Centre. He is tasked with increasing the regional customer base and putting the hotel on the map as a go-to destination for business and leisure within the local Sheffield market; a challenge he is ideally placed to tackle thanks to his depth of knowledge of the brand and region. 

After successfully completing the Vine Hotels’ management trainee programme, Rhiannon Thomas takes the position of assistant manager at Best Western The Dartmouth Hotel Golf and Spa starting in early 2023.  A developing career at the hotel is a dream come true for golf enthusiast Rhiannon who has played at elite level for years and first joined the property while studying for her PGA qualification. 

Lauren McSorley has been appointed to the proactive sales team, with the remit of groups and tours sales manager. She joins the senior leadership team after being promoted from the hotel manager position at Mercure Southampton Centre Dolphin. She will be tasked with developing the groups and tours strand of the business, which is a rapidly growing sector for many of the hotel group’s properties.
